What if life wasn't just about surviving?

What if it was more than finding one thing you were good at and trying to make money doing it?

That's what we believe.  If you agree, then you're in the right place.

"I'm responsible for another human life."

I'm a dad.  It's an important role and it's changed how I see the world.  Suddenly, I'm responsible for another human life.  (Actually 3 now) Whoa.

My children look up to me. They copy what I do. They asks me why gas makes the car move and how come their friends moved away.  He wants to know why he can't add the whole bottle of vanilla to the pancakes and wonders why he has to take naps.

How can I possibly teach him everything he'll need to know?

I can't.  There are still so many things that I wonder about.  So many things I still need to learn.

I'm a student in life!  How can I be expected to be a teacher?!

Everyone is a student and everyone is a teacher. We all know things we can teach. Every experience you have is your resume. From early childhood conflict management to coping with test anxiety to how to make a good sandwich, replace a light fixture, or sing the Star Spangled Banner; everything you do has value.  No matter what age you are, as long as there are newborns, there will be people you can teach.

What can you teach?

Only what you have learned. *Education is the process of imparting or acquiring general knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning and judgment, and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life.

How do you learn?

By what you do.

What you think about.

Whom you talk to.

Where you go.

What you eat.

How you move.

Pain you feel.

What you see.

How you love.

Sounds you listen to.

Ideas you study.

Opportunities you take.

*Learning is the process of gaining knowledge or skill by studying, practicing, being taught, or experiencing something.

The world is a subjective place.  Depending on your experience, education, and personal values, life holds any number of possible adventures.

How do you know what's right for you?

Start here.

Learn Something.  Teach something.  Do something.

Because you also have the power to be responsible for another human life--

Yours.
